Research Methods
AI Concepts/Methods
We evaluated a series of AI concepts to determine user opportunities we want to incorporate,
as well as criteria required for the AR powered solution.
HAX Guidelines
Our Goals
Based on the concepts chosen, we identified target outcomes,
and various methods by which our product needs to meet HAX guidelines.
What's already out there?
Competative Analysis
Analyzed key competitors to identify experience gaps,
emerging patterns, and opportunities for differentiation.
Our Users
Personas
Due to time constraints in our timeline, we identified 2 personas
based on secondary research - a student whose language consists of "modern" emoji meanings,
and an elder father who's definitions may vary.
Memojis represent real person's picture/face.
Carl & Katarina
Storyboards
Through these personas, we cultivated storyboards,
which helped up identify specific points where major user pain points lie,
and eventual opportunity to adress these pain points.

How it works
User Flow
Based on paint-points we identified,
we created a user flow which demonstrated the process by which they can be solved.
It clarified the process by which each of the HAX guidelines can be met.

Initial Product
Low-Fidelity Prototype
Each of the proposed AI concepts/methods were then cultivated into
several working screens, at a low-fidelity level.
